Start configuring a Data Connection FIQ, by firstly following these instructions on how to create a query

Step 06> [OPTIONAL] Check Callout if the Query Results will be displayed in a Redline Callout instead of the Results Panel.

Step 07> Select an Output Style to define how the results will appear in the Results Panel.

Output Styles define how the retrieved data will be displayed in Dekho when a Feature is selected. The options are Table, Image List and URL List. To return a list of images, select Image List (field name must be description). To return a list of URLs, select URL (field name must be URL).

Step 08> In Data Source Type, Choose Data Connection

Step 11> [Optional] Add an Order by clause to list the results in a different order than the order the records are listed in the table.

[OPTIONAL] A Data connection (Manual SQL) statement can also be used specify the data to display in the FIQ. Use the custom SQL statement if the default Data Connection parameters are inadequate.

SQL Statement example,

'select objectid, streetname from mydb.myschema.mytable' order by myfieldname

The optional Where and Order by clauses for the default Data Connection data source must be built into the custom SQL statement.

Now make a join between the layer and the data table using the layer field and the table field.

Step 12> Select a Map that will be used to display the FIQ results from the Data Connection.

Step 13> The Target field is the Map Layer field with Values that will be used to join.

Step 14> Source field is the data connection field with the matching values to the target field.

Step 15> Use the hyperlink on the right to add the syntax to the Linking fields box.

Step 16> Users will not see these joining fields in the Map Client. They will see the Results displayed following a selection.
