Oracle Configuration Database Upgrade

For upgrading Oracle installations, run the additional script called OracleProcedures4.0 before running the upgrade script for 3.2.3 to 4.0.0. No additional script is required for fresh installations of Oracle use the standard installation process.


Step 08> Copy the following scripts into a folder on the machine where Dekho configuration database is:


Step 09> Open the OracleProcedures4.0.sql,  OracleServerPreBookmark4.0.sql and oracleupgrade3.2.2to4.0.sql files in a text editor and change the following to use your dekho schema:

alter session set current_schema = dekho;

So if your Dekho schema name is dekhoconfig, change the above dekho to dekhoconfig.


Step 10> Double Click the upgrade3.2.3to4.0.bat file. This will open a command line window. 









Step 11> Enter 2 for Oracle.

Step 12> Enter your path to the connection properties file.

C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\




Step 13> Enter the database information when prompted.






Step 14> EnterY’ to confirm upgrade.


Step 15> A log is created. Check this for any problems.

Alternatively, if you run into any problems running through the batch file, you can run the scripts directly in Oracle SQL Developer in the following sequence:

Step 16> Copy and Edit the scripts as stepped out in the prior Steps 1&2.

Step 17> Open Oracle SQL Developer.

Step 18> Load and Execute OracleServerPreBookmark4.0.sql


Step 19> Run the UpdateBookmarks40.jar utility from the command line.

Step 20> On command line, change directory to the path where the jar file is located.

Step 21> Enter following command, replacing the location of the connection properties file with yours, and hit enter:

java –jar UpdateBookmarks40.jar "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\"


Step 22> Load and Execute OracleProcedures4.0.sql

Step 23> Load and Execute OracleUpgrade3.2.3to4.0.sql
